Adalee DeYoung, nee Hambric, age 92, of St. John, IN, formerly of South Holland, IL, went home to her Lord and Savior Wednesday, December 17, 2025. Beloved wife of the late Calvin H. DeYoung. Devoted mother of Richard (Terry) DeYoung, James (Lisa) DeYoung, Jerry (Cindy) DeYoung, Dan (Kathy) DeYoung, Leigh (Janet) DeYoung, and Cheryl (Brian) Calvert. Loving grandmother of 26 and great-grandmother of 35. Preceded in death by her parents Ernest and Tiena Hambric and Richard and Mary Tysen.

Visitation Friday, December 26, 2025 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home, 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane, Dyer, IN. Visitation also on Saturday, December 27, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment Oak Ridge Cemetery –Lansing, IL.
