Albert E. "Albie" Blommaert

Albert E. “Albie” Blommaert, age 74, Saugatuck, MI, formerly of Chicago Heights, IL, passed away peacefully Friday, November 10, 2023.  Loving dad of Brian Blommaert and Christie (Lance) Krout.  Loud and cherished grandpa of Mason Blommaert, Meri Reese (Abi) Najieullah, Andrew, Ryan, and Alana Krout.  Dear brother of Cheryl, Jimmy, Ronnie, Cathy, Michael, Patty, David, and the late Christine.  Preceded in death by his parents Albert and Wanda Blommaert Sr.  Albie was the founder and co-owner of Blommaert Bros. Masonry for 32 years.  He was loved by all who knew him and will be dearly missed.

Visitation Saturday, November 18, 2023 from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. with a funeral service to be held at 6:30 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home, 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane (Rt.30/Pleasant Springs Ln.), Dyer, IN.
