Alex Sakal, age 93 of Steger, Il. passed away peacefully on July 26, 2013. Beloved husband of Shirley Sakal nee Metzger. Loving father of Diane (Ralph) Gutwa of Chicago Heights, Nancy Ghiotto of Crown Point, IN and Barbara Sakal of South Chicago Heights. Cherished grandfather of Erin (Brad) Parson and great grandfather of Noelle Parson. Dear brother of Irene Graham and Jeanette (Gerald) Bentley. Alex was preceded in death by one sister Olga and three brothers John, Joseph and Louis. Visitation Monday July 29, 2013 from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Smits Funeral Homes-Steger Memorial Chapel 3045 Chicago Rd. Steger, IL. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday July 30, 2013 at Steger Memorial Chapel. Interment will be at Skyline Memorial Park - Monee, IL.
