Alfred Bitz, age 86, of Steger, IL passed away peacefully on Friday, August 13, 2021. Beloved husband of Gloria J. Bitz, nee Stanfa. Loving father of Daniel (Lynn) Bitz, Kathy (Charles) Thomas, Susan (Rick) Sidlowski, and Mary Ann Bitz. Cherished grandfather of Elizabeth, Jessica, Andrew, Cristine, Marie, Rick Jr., Becky, Molly, and Daniel. Great grandfather of Winter, Violet, and McKenna. Dear brother of Angie (Leo) Kiefer, Mary (late Robert) Humman, Jerry Bitz, Darvin Bitz, and Diane Vetter. Preceded in death by his parents John and Regina Feist-Bitz, siblings; Will, Seb, Joe and Donnie Bitz. Alfred leaves behind many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends. He proudly served in the United States Army. Alfred was loved by many and will be deeply missed.
