Alice Tichgelaar

Alice Tichgelaar, nee Meyers, age 90, of Crown Point, IN, passed away peacefully Sunday, June 16, 2019.  Beloved wife of the late Richard Tichgelaar. Devoted mother of Richard Tichgelaar and Barbara Tichgelaar. Dear sister of the late Joanne (late Don) Trenning. Fond aunt of Judy (Ken) Yonkman, Janet (Glen) Huisenga, and Darlene (Dan) Sutherland, and many beloved great and great-great nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents Richard and Nettie Meyers. Alice was active in her church home at Oak Glen URC. She was loved and will be missed.

Visitation Wednesday, June 19, 2019 from 3:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane (Rt.30 & Pleasant Springs Ln.) Dyer, IN. Funeral service Thursday, June 20, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Oak Glen United Reformed Church – 2244 Indiana Ave. Lansing, IL with Rev. Edward Marcusse officiating.
