Alleen Howes

Alleen Howes, nee Cook, age 87, of Schererville, IN, formerly of Riverdale, IL, passed away on Saturday, January 15, 2022.  Loving mother of Sharon (Mike) VanDyken, William (Ann) Howes, and David “Mike” (Mary) Howes.  Cherished grandmother of Brittany, Jenny, Samantha, Michelle, Morgan, and Michael.  Great-grandmother of Lexi, London, and John.  Preceded in death by her siblings Charles (Terri) Cook, Roy (Marcella) Cook, and Lillian Cook, by her parents Charles and Marie Cook, and by her former husband and close friend David C. Howes.  Alleen cherished her cats Misty and Ginger. One of her favorite places was Corey Lake where she had many fond memories of time spent there with family and friends.  Alleen was loved by many and will be deeply missed.
