Alonzo is survived by his loving wife: Leona Kallemeyn, nee Bauman; ten children: Earl Kallemeyn of Manhattan, NY, Dr. Harold (Elsbeth) Kallemeyn of France, David (Connie) Kallemeyn of Crete, IL, Sylvia Kallemeyn of Wyoming, MI, Dan (Donna) Kallemeyn of Mokena, IL, Maribeth Kallemeyn of Salem, OR, Lois (Tom) Madden of Caledonia, MI, Jan (Rev. Dan) Roeda of Delavan, WI, Arlo (Brenda) Kallemeyn of Crete, IL and Cliff Kallemeyn of Minneapolis, MN. 21 Grandchildren; one brother: Earl (Harriet) Kallemeyn of Orland Park, IL and several nieces and nephews. Visitation Monday, October 1, 2007 from 3:00 " 9:00 p.m. at the Smits, DeYoung-Vroegh Funeral Home 649 E. 162nd St. (Rt.6/159th St.) South Holland, IL. Funeral service Tuesday " 11:00 a.m. at the First Christian Reformed Church of South Holland (16248 South Park Ave. South Holland, IL) with Rev. Ben Tol officiating. Interment Oak Ridge Cemetery " Lansing, IL. Memorial contributions may be given to C.R.C. World Missions or the Holland Home. Mr. Kallemeyn founded The Shopper Newspaper and Park Press in South Holland, IL. He took great satisfaction in serving his customers and employees throughout his business career.
