Anthony A. Grzadzinski

Anthony A. Grzadzinski , age 86, of Beecher, IL, passed way Sunday, July 1 2018. Beloved husband for 58 years of Joan E. Grzadzinski, nee Janocha. Loving father of Dorothy Grzadzinski, Margaret Wells, and John (late Jan) Grzadzinski. Proud grandfather of Theresa, Jessica, Michael and Jenna; great-grandfather of Anthony. Preceded in death by his siblings Dorothy, Marge, Bruno Jr., and Robert, and by his parents Bruno and Bessie Grzadzinski. Anthony grew up in Posen, Illinois, where he also met his wife, Joan.  They married and and raised their family in Harvey, Illinois relocating to Beecher, Illinois in 2000.  Anthony attended St Bonaventure Prep school in Wisconsin where he made and continued lifelong relationships.  Both Anthony and Joan were members of St John the Baptist Church.  He worked into his seventies as a machinist in Blue Island, Harvey and Chicago.  Tony was an avid Cubs fan and was thrilled for their World Series win. He had a low-key, accepting disposition that made it easy to talk with him and hear his stories.  He will be remembered for his great sense of humor, even in difficult times, always putting the person with him at ease, and for his great generosity and dedication to his family and friends. Prayer service, Friday, July 6, 2018 at 9:15 A.M. at the funeral home leaving for a funeral mass at 10:00 A.M. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 158th and Emerald Ave., Harvey, IL.  Interment Holy Cross Cemetery – Calumet City, IL. Memorial contributions may be given to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church - Harvey, IL.
