Arthur Gerald De Young

Arthur Gerald De Young, age 89, of St. Anne, IL, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, September 22, 2020. He was born in South Holland, IL, the son of Peter and Anna Schaap-DeYoung. Beloved husband of Gladys De Young, nee Koster, whom he married on December 18, 1953. Loving father of Alan (Laurie) DeYoung, Gary (Vicki) DeYoung, Karen (Doug) VanHoff, and Steve (Lisa) DeYoung. Cherished grandfather of eleven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Arthur was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters. Art was a retired farmer. He proudly served in the United States Army, serving 21 months during peacetime with the MP in Okinawa. Art was a longtime member of the First Reformed Church of Wichert, having served as deacon and elder.

Private graveside service will be held at Oakwood Cemetery in Wichert, Illinois. Memorials appreciated to Uplifted Hospice Care (482 Main Street NW.
