Audrey K. Davis, nee Strong, age 98, of Crete, Illinois passed away Friday November 9, 2018. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Richard C. Davis, Mother Mary Strong, Sisters Vera Davis and Rita Rybarczyk, and Brother John Strong. She leaves behind her two devoted children Richard Davis and Donna Davis, 5 Grandchildren, and 4 Great-Grandchildren.

Audrey was always on the go and a dedicated worker and volunteer. She retired from Marvell Bakery after 25 years, went on to work at Ben Franklin, and then retired at the young age of 84 from Carson Pirie Scott. She spent the following decades volunteering, serving, and participating in her community: St Liborius Quilters, Council of Catholic Women, Outreach, Food Baskets, Consignment Store, Senior Clubs, Crete Pantry, and Local Pinochle Clubs. She was recognized as Woman of the Year by Bishop Imesch.

Audrey spent her life as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She made birthday cakes, cookies and other goodies for every family gathering, holiday, and even on a regular Tuesday. You could always count on a cold glass of her famous tea on a hot summer’s day. Her family and friends were blessed with 98 years with the wonderful Audrey K. Davis

Visitation Tuesday November 13, 2018 from 3:30 - 7:30 p.m. at Steger Memorial Chapel 3045 Chicago Road Steger, Illinois. Funeral Mass Wednesday, November 14, 2018 10:00 a.m. at St Liborius 71 W 35th Street, Steger, Illinois. Entombment at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery - Justice, Illinois
