Audrey I. Huizenga, nee Nieboer, age 95, of Munster, IN, went home to her Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 21, 2024.  Beloved wife of the late Gerald Huizenga. Loving mother of Christy (Bud) Van Genderen, Gerald (Kathy) Huizenga, Mark (Lucinda) Huizenga, Brian (Karen) Huizenga, and Alan (Mary) Huizenga. Cherished grandmother of 15 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Guelda (late Fred) Klooster and Meredith (late Lawrence) Adams. Kind aunt of many nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by her parents Elzo and Jennie Nieboer. Audrey was dearly loved and will be missed.

Audrey and Gerald were married in 1948 in the First Christian Reformed Church of Lansing. After starting their family, they became charter members of Hammond Christian Reformed Church. Audrey and Jerry were active members in that ministry, serving there faithfully for many years.

Visitation Friday, April 26, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 10:30 a.m. at Smits Funeral Home 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane, Dyer, IN with Rev. Tim Huizenga officiating. Interment Oak Ridge Cemetery – Lansing, IL.
