Balbina "Dena" Betancourt

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend Balbina "Dena" Betancourt-Martinez, passed away January 21, 2015. She is survived by husband Basilio; daughter Yvette; sons Steve (Amanda), Michael, Jon (Sue); grandchildren Aisha, Andrea, Esai, Alexcia, Marc, Amaryllis, Ayrton; great-granddaughters BreAna and Alexciana; brother Esteban; daughter-in-law Pam; four-legged daughter Coquis. She is preceded in death by father Domingo; mother Elvira; siblings Gloria Michaela and Maximilliano. Dena was a treasured school employee of Garfield Elementary and Mt. Carmel Elementary during the 80''s and 90''s. Visitation Saturday, January 24, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. until time of prayer service 7:00 p.m. at Smits, Steger Memorial Chapel 3045 Chicago Rd, Steger, IL 60475. She will be deeply missed.
