Barbara L. Boender

Barbara L. Boender, nee Hunter, age 82, of Knox, IN, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 8, 2023.  Beloved wife of Paul K. Boender.  Loving mother of Joan Grace (Ronald) Godlewski, Martin “Butch” Heintz, and Cheryl Heintz.  Cherished grandmother of Ryan Prondzinski, Benjamin Godlewski, and the late Eric Prondzinski.  Dear sister of the late Patti Lee Press.  Preceded in death by her parents Clyde and Cora Grace Hunter. Barb was a school bus driver for 50 years.  She loved gardening and daily tending to her wild outdoor birds. She was an avid lover of all animals.  She looked forward to her weekly bible study group and quilting.  Barb was loved by many and will be deeply missed.

Memorial visitation Saturday, January 14, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11:00 a.m. at United Methodist Church, 201 S. Shield St., Knox, IN, with Pastor Ryan Prondzinski and Pastor Dee Miller officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to American Cancer Society ( www.cancer.org ) or Brain Injury Association of America ( www.biausa.org ).
