Barbara Herman nee DeLorenzo, age 78 of South Chicago Heights, Illinois, passed away peacefully, August 19, 2014. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Herman. Loving mother of Denise (Michael) Katz and Edward Herman. Dear sister of the late Rose Marie (late Jerome) Baron, late Anna May (late Charles) Zamarocy, late Virginia (Alton) Bradley, Patricia (late Phillip) Fowlie, Christine (Frank) DeLuca, Lucille (late Michael) Christian. Cherished aunt of many nieces and nephews. Barbara was preceded in death by her nephew Joseph DeLuca. Visitation Sunday, August 24 from 2:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Smits, Steger Memorial Chapel 3045 Chicago Road Steger, IL. Funeral Mass Monday 10:00 a.m. at St. Liborius Church - Steger, IL. Interment Calvary Cemetery - Steger, IL. Barbara was employed as the Hot Lunch Program Supervisor for Eastview Elementary School. She retired after 17 years of service.
