Barbara A. Polk, nee Mahoney, age 81, of Schererville, IN, formerly of South Holland, IL, passed away peacefully Saturday, August 19, 2017. Beloved wife of the late Ronald W. Polk. Devoted mother of Daniel (Linda), Tim (Melanie) Polk, Dawn (Mark) Smit, Brian, Tom (Lyn-Ann), and the late Ronald (Linda) Polk. Proud grandmother of Jeffrey, Ross, and Ryan Polk, Renee (Brian) Nies, Melissa (Matt) Magurean, Nicole (Matt) Wren, Alexandra, Cassidy, and Andrew Polk; great-grandmother of Elizabeth, Madeline, Rebecca, and Lucas. Dear sister of Eileen (John) Clifford, Margie (late John) Darrah, Rosie Borucki, Sheila Mahoney, and Katie (John) Morton. Kind aunt of many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents Timothy and Mary Mahoney.
