Barbara Ann Sullivan

Barbara Ann Sullivan, nee Vaughn, age 88, of Crown Point, IN, formerly of South Holland, IL, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 21, 2026. Beloved wife of the late Dr. John Francis Sullivan Sr. Loving mother of Dr. John (Susan) Sullivan Jr., Shannon Sullivan, Thomas Sullivan, and Kelly (Michael) Cavarretta. Proud grandmother of Nina Sullivan, Keaton Sullivan, Emily (John) Italiano, Kelsey (Patrick) Lindh, Claire (Jacob) DeVries, Katie Cavarretta, and Hannah Sullivan. Soon to be great-grandmother of two. Dear sister of the late Thomas (late Jane) Vaughn and the late Elizabeth Jean Truxal. Loving aunt of many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents Wilbert and Eve Marie Vaughn.

Barbara, along with her husband Dr. John Sullivan, were the founders of Spirit of God Fellowship Church in South Holland and Restoration Ministries in Harvey, IL. She was a popular Christian teacher and author having written five books. Barbara was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

Visitation Sunday, August 30, 2026 from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the Celebration of Life Service at 3:00 p.m. at Spirit of God Fellowship, 16350 State St. South Holland, IL, with Pastor Brian Kamstra officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Restoration Ministries (253 E. 159th St. Harvey, IL 60426).
