Barbara J. Szczudlo, nee Hawks, age 72, late of Dyer, IN, passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2022. Loving wife of Michael L. Szczudlo. Devoted mother of Frank (Claudia) Florez and Michael (Guadalupe) Florez. Cherished grandmother of Frank, Marissa, Tyler and Cecily. Dearest sister of Russell Hawks, Margie (Ronnie) Collins, Charlotte (late David) Bocek, and Mary (Tom) McNellis. Kind aunt of many nephews and nieces. Preceded in death by her parents Joyce and Harriet Hawks.
Visitation Tuesday, August 2, 2022 from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. Prayer service Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at Smits Funeral Home, 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane (Rt.30/Pleasant Springs Ln.), Dyer, IN. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery – Calumet City, IL.
