Barbara J. Yacono

Barbara J. Yacono, age 87, of La Porte, IN, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 5, 2021.  Preceded in death by her three husbands, Frank Adkins, Curtis Spaganoa, and Sam Yacono.  Loving mother of Richard (late Jana) Adkins, the late Roy Adkins, and the late Frank Adkins.  Cherished mother-in-law of Marcia Adkins.  Loving grandmother of Troy Adkins, William Adkins, Thomas (Danielle) Adkins, and the late John Adkins.  Great-grandmother of Jason Adkins and Analaya Adkins.  Dear sister of Phyllis Jepperson, Joy (Buster) Clifford, and Herbert (Charlotte) Greene.  Barbara was preceded in death by her siblings; Thelma Harris, James Greene, Juanita Braggs, Ernest Greene, Lafona Smith, Jack Greene, Billie Greene, Gladys Greene, and Deloras Greene.  She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation to be held Friday, December 10, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service at 1:00 p.m. at Smits – Steger Memorial Chapel, 3045 Chicago Rd.
