Bernadine L. Gwiazda

Bernadine Lucille Gwiazda, nee Wantuch, age 93, of Steger, Illinois, passed away peacefully at her home on March 6, 2023.  Loving wife of the late Walter Gwiazda.  Devoted mother of Barbara (Robert) Pavich, Marla De Marco, Andrew (Kelly) Gwiazda, and the late Robert Gwiazda.  Cherished grandmother of Suzanne, Rocco, Carl, Christy, Jenna, Samantha, Brooke, and Andrew Jr.; great-grandmother of Evan, Madeline, Carinna, Tara, Danica, Dominic, and Blake.  Preceded in death by her parents Bruno and Valeria Wantuch, and sisters Florence and Evelyn.

Bernadine will be dearly missed by all who knew her, she was kind and generous to all.

Mrs. Gwiazda was a member of the Polish National Alliance, Polish Falcons, Polish American Club, Steger VFW, Founder of Polish American Community Fair, member of St. Joseph and St. Liborius Catholic Churches.  Mom taught school at St. Liborius and also worked at Elizabeth Ludeman Center.  She was also a very good artist.
