Bert Witvoet, Jr.

Bert Witvoet, Jr., age 78, of Crete, IL went home to his Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 13, 2024.  Beloved husband of June Witvoet, nee Robinson.  Loving father of Wayne (Kathy) Witvoet and Debbie (John) Lotton.  Devoted grandfather of Candice (Jake) Gurtler, Jonathan (Jessica) Lotton, Tiffany (Josh) Blackburn, Nickolas Witvoet, Ryan (Dylan) Witvoet, Brad Witvoet, Gage Witvoet and great-grandfather of Hunter, Evie, and Allie Siebert; Jaxson Blackburn; Vivian, Genevieve, Violette, and Remington Lotton; Emerick and Zephan Gurtler.  Dear brother of the late John (Audrey) Witvoet and the late Marcella (Alan) Winter.  Kind uncle to several nieces and nephews.

For 40 years Bert was in the Wholesale and Retail produce business as owner of Village Farmstand and Garden Center in South Holland, IL.
He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Visitation Thursday, April 18, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Smits Funeral Home, 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane, Dyer, IN with services conducted by Rev. Fred DeJong. Interment Oak Ridge Cemetery – Lansing, IL.
