Bette W. DeVries, nee Bruin, age 89, of South Holland, IL, passed away on Monday, September 28, 2015. Beloved wife of Rev. Melvin DeVries. Loving mother of Michael (Ann Marie) Boer, Suellyn (Patrick) Onofrio, and Scott (Misti) Boer. Cherished grandmother of Brad (Dawn) Bonneau, Amy Bonneau, Caitlin Boer and Mike Boer and great-grandmother of Ryane, Carson, and Ashlyn. Dear step-mother of John (Ramelle) DeVries; Ann (Mark) Tubbs with children Loraina, Marcus and Kevin; and Alan (Joy) DeVries and daughter, Rochelle. Devoted sister of the late William Bruin and the late Virginia Dalenberg. Preceded in death by her first husband the late Peter Boer.
