Betty Ann McClain

Betty Ann McClain, nee, Kupferschmidt, age 96, of St. John, IN, passed away on Friday, November 21, 2025. Beloved wife of the late John McClain Jr. Loving mother of Mark (Dale) McClain, Kyle (late Laurence) Feder, and Timothy (Kimberly) McClain. Cherished grandmother of five and great-grandmother to nine. Dear sister of the late Charles (late Faye) Kupferschmidt, late Beverly (late Howard) Springate, late Jean (late Maurice) Radtke, and the late Marilyn (Ron) Ben. Preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Patty McClain and her parents Charles and Lucy Kupferschmidt.

Those who knew Betty will miss her dedication to family and friends. She could always be counted on for a helping hand accompanied by a friendly smile and an easy laugh. She will also be remembered for her great love of animals and her strong devotion to Chicago sports teams. Her 96 years were full and happy.
