Bill Harmeling

William “Bill” H. Harmeling, age 87, of South Holland, IL, passed away Sunday, July 8, 2018. Beloved husband of Arlene Harmeling, nee Vander Schoot.  Loving father of Scott (Valorie) Harmeling and Jill (Chad) Gehring.  Devoted grandfather of Ethan, Alec, Owen, and Chloe.  Dear brother of the late Ruth (late Carl) Mirre.  Preceded in death by his parents William and Margaret Harmeling.  Mr. Harmeling was a U.S. Navy Veteran and was a retired Local #150 heavy equipment operator.

Visitation Thursday, July 12, 2018 from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Smits, DeYoung-Vroegh Funeral Home, 649 E. 162nd St. (Rt. 6/159th St.) South Holland, IL. Funeral service Friday, July 13, 2018 at 10:30 A.M. at the funeral home with services conducted by Rev. Daniel Svendsen.  Burial at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery  – Elwood, IL.
