Bouwina J. Hoekstra, 85, of Grant Park, died Saturday (January 8, 2011) in Beecher. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Momence Funeral Chapel (203 N. Locust St.). Funeral Wednesday 11:00 a.m. at Faith United Reformed Church (130 W. Corning Rd. Beecher, IL). Rev. Todd Joling will officiate, there will also be a one hour visitation prior to service at church.Burial will be in Skyline Memorial Park " Monee, IL. Memorials may be made to Faith United Reformed Church or the Village Woods Retirement Community " Crete, IL. Mrs. Hoekstra was born October 14, 1925, in the Netherlands, the daughter of Dick and Reina Kadyk Knol. She was a member of Faith United Reformed Church in Beecher. Beloved wife of the late Menno Hoekstra, whom she married November 7, 1947 in Cicero, IL. Loving mother of Janet (Arnold) Gorter of Waupun, WI, Melvin (Kathy) of Grant Park, Joyce (Larry) Olthoff of Grant Park, Harvey (Lori) of Kankakee, Tim (Darla) of Crestwood, IL and Paul (Brenda) of Munster, IN. Cherished grandmother of seventeen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren. Dear sister of Jennie (late William) Teune and the late Richard (late Minna) Knol.
