Bruce L. Nootbaar

Bruce L. Nootbaar, age 55, of Thornton, IL, passed away after a long illness on Saturday, February 1, 2025. Loving husband of Julie M. Nootbaar. Cherished son of Gene and the late Viola Nootbaar, nee VanderGiessen. Dear brother of Terry (Rick) Collum and Steve (Julie) Nootbaar. Bruce was a systems administrator for many years at Crete Monee School District 201-U.

Visitation Wednesday, February 5, 2025 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. with a funeral service to be held at 7:00 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane (Rt.30/Pleasant Springs Ln.) Dyer, IN. Interment at Homewood Memorial Gardens—Homewood, IL. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Diabetes Association ( www.diabetes.org )
