Caleb Michael Salazar

Caleb Michael "Cal Sal" Salazar, age 18, suddenly, of Schererville, IN, passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2014. Beloved son of John Michael Salazar and Tisa M. (Nate) Pierson nee Teneyuca. Dearest brother of Noah A. Salazar, Hannah C. Pierson and Olivia M. Salazar. Loving grandson of Frank and Mary Salazar, and Gayle and Tim Pierson. Caleb is also survived by several great-grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Preceded in death by his grandmother Carol Teneyuca and great-grandparents. Caleb was a senior at Lake Central High School and loved weightlifting, strength training, snowboarding, longboarding, and rock climbing. Caleb was loved by many and will be missed by all, and was always there when you needed him. Visitation Monday, April 7, 2014 from 3:00 - 9:00 p.m. Funeral service Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at Smits Funeral Home 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane Dyer, IN 46311 with Rev. Jason Cox officiating. Interment Calvary Cemetery - Steger, IL.
