Calvin H. De Young, age 84, of St. John , passed away Thursday, March 23, 2017. Beloved husband of Adalee “Lee” De Young, nee Hambric. Devoted father of Richard (Terry) De Young, James (Lisa) De Young, Jerry (Cindy) De Young, Dan (Kathy) De Young, Leigh (Janet) De Young, and Cheryl (Brian) Calvert. Loving grandfather of 26 and great-grandfather of 17. Dear brother of six sisters and four brothers. Visitation Sunday, March 26, 2017 from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Faith Church (100 81st Avenue, Dyer, IN 46311) and funeral service Monday, March 27, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at Faith Church with Rev. William De Young officiating. Interment Oak Ridge Cemetery –Lansing, IL. Main Street, Wheaton, IL 60603). Mr. De Young was a retired Metra Electric railroad conductor, barber, and a U. S. Army veteran during the Korean War.
