Calvin F. Scott D.O., age 73, of Highland, IN, passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 16, 2016. Loving husband of Nancy J. Scott, nee Neal. Loving dad of Deborah (Frank) McMurray, Kathryn (late Doug) Witmer, and Christine (Doug) Deuter; step-dad of Christina (Doug) Meyers, and Jerry Hilton. Proud grandpa of Kaitlin, Alexander, Elizabeth, David, Matthew, Leah, Charles, Patrick, Henry, and Matthew. Dear brother of Gail Scott and David (Annessa) Scott. Kind uncle of several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents Cornelius and Jean Scott. Visitation Friday, March 18, 2016 from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, March 19, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane (Rt.30/Pleasant Springs Ln.) Dyer, IN 46311 with Pastor Jay Calaway officiating. Private Cremation. Dr. Scott was a former Police Commissioner of Dyer, IN.
