Carl H. Fabrizius, age 79, of Chicago Heights, IL, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2015. Beloved husband of the late Judith Fabrizius, nee Oostman. Devoted father of Jodi (Dave) Huizenga, Andrew (Claire) Fabrizius and Eric (Jennifer) Fabrizius. Proud grandfather of 10; great-grandfather of one. Dear brother of Judith (late Wendell) Patterson, Kathleen (Tye) Trimpey and Harry (Susie) Heckart. Brother-in-law of Dennis (Pat) Oostman and Leroy (Carol) Oostman. Kind uncle of many nephews and nieces. Preceded in death by his parents Carl and Pauline Fabrizius Sr., parents-in-law Rich and Hilda Oostman and brother-in-law Rich Oostman. Visitation Friday, May 8, 2015 from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane (Rt.30&Pleasant Springs Ln.) Dyer, IN 46311. Funeral service Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Bethel Christian Reformed Church (3500 Glenwood-Lansing Road Lansing, IL 60438) with Rev. Cal Aardsma officiating. Interment Skyline Memorial Park - Monee, IL. Carl was a United States Army Veteran, an avid fisherman and loved his large home gardens.
