Carmen "Carmie" Recupito

Carmen Recupito “Carmie”, age 98, of Steger, Illinois, passed away peacefully April 5, 2018. Beloved husband of the late Bernice Recupito (nee Compagnoni). Loving father of Leona (late Marvin) Berner, Carmen “Tory” (Barbara) Recupito, Anthony (Linda) Recupito, and Michael (Antoinette) Recupito. Cherished grandfather of ten grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter. Carmen was a proud US Army WWII veteran. Among his many ventures, he was the founder of Marvell Bakery, Recupito’s Restaurant and the Dixie Warehousing. He was also a former Steger Policeman. Carmen will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
