Carol M. Gilbert, nee Coulombe, age 86, late of Harvey, IL, passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2013. Beloved wife of 71 years to Sheldon R. Gilbert. Devoted mother of Judith (John) Diehl and Sheldon D. (Isabel) Gilbert. Proud grandmother Kimberly (Gary) Baker, John K. (Tifany) Diehl, Courtney and Lawrence Gilbert; great-grandmother of Tristan, Aidan, Brandon, Jr., Jordan, and Toby. Dear sister of Thomas (Lola) Coulombe, Fred (Jeanne) Coulombe, the late Beverly (late Yule) Montgomery, Bernice (late Luther) Stowe, Eleanor Coulombe, Vivian (late Dave) Everly, and the late Bess Coulombe. Loving aunt of several nieces and nephews. Visitation Saturday, June 15, 2013 from 12:00 p.m. until the time of a funeral service at 4:00 p.m. at the Smits, DeYoung-Vroegh Funeral Home 649 E. 162nd St. (Rt.6/159th St.) South Holland, IL 60473.
