Charles Leroy Botta Sr.

Charles Leroy Botta Sr., age 83, of Harvey, IL, passed away peacefully in his home Friday, October 13, 2017, after a brief illness. He was born on February 16, 1934, in Chicago to Helen and Charles J. Botta. For 62 years, he was the beloved husband of Irene E. Botta, nee Costigan. Loving father of Charles (Eve) Botta Jr., Barbara (Dave) Murphy, Catharine (Ronald) White, Kenneth J. Botta, Steven (Jane) Botta, and Linda (Mann) Tucker. He enjoyed his 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren tremendously. He was the oldest brother to Jack (Kris) Botta, and the late George Botta, James Botta, and Virginia Jensen. Kind uncle of many nieces and nephews. Charles retired from Tootsie Roll Industries, he was a Navy Veteran, and an avid fisherman.
