Charles M. Furuyama, age 90, of South Holland, IL, passed away on Friday, June 10, 2016. Devoted husband of Mary Furuyama of 65 years and beloved father of Ron Furuyama, Kim Furuyama (Mike Munoz), Lyn (Steve) Munson and his grandchildren Leah and Sarah Munson and Charlie and Suki Munoz. Loving brother of the late Helen Yoshida and Bill Furuyama. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews and loved by so many more. Original owner of Care Cleaners in South Holland and proud US Army veteran of WWII. Chuck loved his family, making friends and helping people, his business, the Chicago Cubs and fishing in Florida. Military Services will be held Thursday, June 16, 2016 at 9:30 A.M. at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery 20953 W Hoff Rd, Elwood, IL 60421. A Memorial service will follow on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at 11:30 A.M. at the Village Free Church 14849 93rd Avenue, Dyer, IN 46311. Memorial contributions may be given to Samaritan's Purse.
