Charles A. Hoerner, Sr. age 96, of Hazel Crest, IL passed away Thursday, October 19, 2017. Beloved husband of Margaret Hoerner, nee Bloom. Loving father of Janice Klausner, Cheryl (Gary) Chick, and Charles A. (Deborah) Hoerner, Jr. Devoted grandfather of Kenneth (Karina) Klausner, Bradley (Angela) Klausner, Karl Klausner, Katherine (Jeremy) Pauken, Matthew Chick, and Cody Hoerner and great-grandfather of Delilah, Emery, Bennett, and Kaspian. Dear brother of the late Henry (late Alice) Hoerner and the late Julia Hayward. Visitation, Monday, October 23, 2017 from 3:00 – 8:00 P.M. with a funeral service at 7:00 P.M. at the Smits DeYoung-Vroegh Funeral Home, 649 E 162nd St.(Rt. 6/159th St.) South Holland, IL. Interment at a later date at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. Mr. Hoerner was a W.W. II Army Veteran.
