Charles A. Mitchell, age 46 of Whiting, IN, passed away on Friday, November 4, 2016. Charles is survived by his Fiancé Liz Almeda, His Mother Deborah (Jim) Battreal of Portage, IN, His Father Charles (Maureen) Mitchell of Ohio. He is also survived by 3 Brothers: Buster Battreal, James Battreal & Roger (Savannah) Mitchell. One Sister: Constance Mitchell and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his Grandmother Helen “Bunnie” Novosel. Memorial visitation Monday, November 7, 2016 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Smits Funeral Home 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane (Rt. 30 & Pleasant Springs Lane, Dyer, IN. Chuck was an avid drummer, Race car enthusiast, a road cyclist, skilled in archery and enjoyed snorkeling. Interment will be private.
