Charles “Chuck” L. Zandstra , age 60, of Lynwood, IL went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, September 2, 2016. Beloved husband of Karla, nee Doorn. Loving father of Chuck (Jen) Zandstra, Jodi (Justin) Bultema, Holly (Steve) Mann, Dana (D.J.) Vermeulen, and Alyssa (Brad) Newenhouse. Proud grandfather of Jacob, Jayce, Hailey, Ava, Joah, Ethan, Ashley, Wade, Jarret, Owen, Autumn, and Tanner. Dear brother of John (Claire), Peter (Julie), David (Karla), Mary (Bill) Bruinsma, Dan (Dawn), Joanne (Glenn) Van Milligan, Bart (Jan), Betty (Jeff) Berens, Mark (Brenda), and Rose Zandstra. Kind uncle to many nieces and nephews. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents: Bartel “Shorty” and Matilda Zandstra. Visitation Wednesday, September 7, 2016 from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Community United Reformed Church, 8405 Alexander St. Schererville, IN. Funeral service Thursday, September 8, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Community United Reformed Church with Rev. James Oord officiating. Private interment prior to the service at Oak Ridge Cemetery – Lansing, IL.
