Christopher Mihas was a devoted husband, proud father, adoring grandfather, and loyal friend whose life was defined by love, laughter, and a very specific menu.
He was deeply devoted to his wife, Nancy, and together they built a life rooted in family, tradition, and unwavering support for one another. Christopher was a loving father to Tara Ruffolo and Jeremy Mihas, and a cherished father-in-law to Eileen, who held a special place in his heart.
Nothing brought Christopher more joy than his grandchildren. He absolutely adored Joshua Tyler Herman, Alex Jordan Ruffolo, Grayson Elliot Mihas, and Greta Mae Mihas, delighting in every moment spent with them and proudly cheering them on in all they did. His love extended to his great-grandchildren, Jacob, Emilio, Noah, and Jocelyn, who were a source of immense happiness and pride.
Christopher is survived by his sister Lee and brother Chuck, and was preceded in death by his beloved brother Jimmy, whom he missed dearly.
Known by all as the pickiest eater ever, Christopher nevertheless had strong culinary loyalties—especially to frozen pizza. He loved poker nights, horses, and spending time in Greektown, where many stories, laughs, and friendships were made. He had a gift for connection and leaves behind friends and family whose lives are richer for having known him.
Above all else, Christopher was a family man. He showed his love in steady, dependable ways—by showing up, by caring deeply, and by being exactly who he was. His presence will be profoundly missed, but his humor, traditions, and love will live on through the many people who were lucky enough to call him husband, dad, papou, brother, uncle, and friend.
