Clyde Kiel

Clyde "Whitey" Kiel, age 95, of St. Charles, MO, formerly of Calumet City, IL. Born in South Holland, IL on July 5, 1917 and passed away December 8, 2012. Beloved husband of Elizabeth Kiel nee Barrett. Loving father of Nancy (Willie) Johns, Carol Schreiber, Kenneth Kiel and the late Diane Ort; Stepfather of Deborah (Alan) Johnson, Pauline (Wayne) Walter, Charles Maguire Jr., and Mike (Laura) Maguire. Proud grandfather of 17; great-grandfather of 10; great-great-grandfather of one. Dear brother of the late Albert Kiel Jr. and late John Kiel. Kind uncle to many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents Albert and Maggie Kiel. A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, December 22, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11:00 a.m. at Smits Funeral Home 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane (Rt.30 & Pleasant Springs Ln.) Dyer, IN 46311. Mr. Kiel was a World War II Navy Veteran.
