Cora Martin (nee Boersema) of Lansing, IL, age 77, went to be with her Lord on March 26, 2018. She was born to Albert and Anne Boersema in Markham, IL, and lived in the Chicago area all her life, and spent many of her winters in Palmetto, FL. Cora was married to Wayne Martin on August 8, 1958, and they were blessed with almost 60 years of marriage in the Lord. Cora spent over 30 years working in the Activities Department of the Holland Home in South Holland, IL, while also being fully involved in the activities of their winter home at Winterset Park. Her joys were found in her family and her many friends. She loved everyone and was loved by all. She now rests in Jesus, her Lord and Savior. Cora was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Benjamin, Edward, Albert (late Linda), Marty (Alice), and sister Anjean (late Harry). She is survived by her husband, Wayne, brothers Richard (late Jeannette) and Ben (late Lois), and sister Inez (late Siebrand De Young and late Marv Koldenhoven), along with her children Cindy (Brian) Yonkman, William (Ruth), and Michael (Michele). Their grandchildren are Matthew (Ginnette) Yonkman, Beth (Dave) Sitter, Albert Martin (late), Steve (Allison) Yonkman, Melissa Martin, Joshua Martin, Shannon Martin, Mykena Martin, and great grandchildren Clarissa, Elaina, Nadia, David, and Jedidiah Sitter. Visitation Wednesday, March 28, 2018 from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Lynwood United Reformed Church, 1990 Glenwood-Dyer Rd., Lynwood, IL.  A funeral service will be held Thursday, March 29, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the church with services conducted by Rev. Nick Alons.  Interment at Skyline Memorial Park Cemetery – Monee, IL. Memorial contributions may be given to Providence Christian Academy (P.O. Box 122 Schererville, IN 46375).  Arrangements entrusted to Smits Funeral Home – Dyer, IN. For further information, please contact 219-322-7300.
