Cornelius “Neal” J. Van Drunen, age 80, of Crete, IL, went home to his Lord and Savior on Thursday, February 18, 2021. Beloved husband of Violet Van Drunen (Parker), nee Vander Giessen, and the late Betty R. Van Drunen, nee Zigterman. Loving father of the late Kathleen DeBoer, Michael (Lisa) Van Drunen, and Russell (Marcia) Van Drunen; step-father of Pam (John) Holleman; father-in-law of William (Barb) DeBoer. Cherished grandfather of Ryan DeBoer, Rachel DeBoer, Michelle (Todd) Adams, Katie Van Drunen, Jon (Tori) Van Drunen, Josh (Ruth Ann) Van Drunen, Michael (Haley) Van Drunen, Jackie (Steven) Lewis, Yara Van Drunen, Racquel Van Drunen, Leah (Austin) Evenhouse, Josie Van Drunen, and Nolee Van Drunen; step-grandfather of David and Daniel Holleman; great-grandfather of seven great-grandchildren. Dear brother to a stillborn sister, Marcia. Neal was an electrical engineer and former owner of ESMA, Inc. in South Holland, IL. He was loved by many and will be deeply missed.

Funeral service Friday, February 26, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at First Christian Reformed Church of South Holland, 16248 South Park Ave, South Holland, IL, with Rev. Daniel Svendsen officiating.
