Craig Dean Paul

Craig Dean Paul, age 76, of Highland, IN, went home to his Lord and Savior on Sunday, February 23, 2025. Beloved husband of Nancy Paul, nee Drenth. Loving father of Jennifer Joyce (Chad) Kooyenga, Kristin Renee Paul, Steven Craig (Heather) Paul, Jonathan Richard Paul, and Timothy Michael (Jamie) Paul. Devoted grandfather of Jason (Abby) Kooyenga, Megan (Joel) Bennett, Amanda Kooyenga, Emma Paul, Lily Paul, Luke Paul, Amelia Paul, Savannah Paul, Remmie Paul, Mikaela Paul, Dashel Paul, Isabella Paul and Evelyn Paul; great-grandfather of Colton and Charlotte Bennett. Dear brother of Richard (Sandy) Paul, Cheryl (Wally) Fox, Jeff (Debi) Paul, and Mark (late Theresa) Paul. Dear brother-in-law of the late Carol (late Frank) Thomson, Jay (Sandy) Drenth, Sally (Jim) Housman, and Mark (Judy) Drenth. Kind uncle to many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents Richard Wesley and Jane Edna Paul.

Craig was an educator at heart teaching in many Christian schools and homeschool co-ops in the area. Craig lived his life for the Lord and prayed unceasingly for others. He adored his grandchildren and the joy they gave him. Craig was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

Visitation Saturday, March 1, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:30 a.m. at Smits Funeral Home, 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane, Dyer, IN with services conducted by Dr. Ron Johnson and Pastor David Prince.
