Dale L. Stadt, age 83, of Crete, Illinois, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2017. Beloved husband to Barbara Stadt (nee Odom) for 61 years. Loving father of Jeffrey Stadt, Deborah (Mark) Kowalczyk and Kathleen (Herman) David. Cherished grandfather of seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Dear brother of Marcella (Ray) Whitten and Garland (Carolyn) Stadt. Dale was a former Sales Manager for VanDrunen Ford, and then farmed for fifteen years. He enjoyed bowling, trap shooting, hunting and swimming at Manteno Beach with his family. Dale traveled with his wife and family and loved spending time with his grandchildren Visitation, Thursday, March 9, 2017 from 4:00-8:00 P.M. at the Smits Funeral Homes-Steger Memorial Chapel (3045 Chicago Rd. Steger, IL.). Funeral Friday 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church 1407 W Church Rd, Beecher, IL. Interment St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery – Beecher, IL.
