Danny L. Kortum, age 64, of Griffith, IN, passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 26, 2016. Beloved husband of Linda Kortum, nee Baum. Devoted father of Janet Kortum and Carl (Kellyanne) Kortum. Proud grandfather of Corinne Mundo, Riley and Evelyn Kortum. Loving son of Dolores Preston. Preceded in death by his father Elmer Kortum. Visitation Friday, July 29, 2016 from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home (2121 Pleasant Springs Lane, Dyer, IN). Visitation also Saturday, July 30, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Shepherd Lutheran Church (9770 Keilman St. St. John, IN) with Pastor Christine Schrey officiating. Memorials may be given to a charity of your choice.
