David E. Danrich

David E. Danrich, age 84, of Thornton, IL, passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2023. Loving husband of 53 years to Kathleen Danrich, nee Kane.  Beloved father of Joseph (Wendy) Danrich, Scot (Karen) Danrich, Douglas (Darlene) Holben, Christopher (Annamaria) Holben.  Cherished grandpa of Joseph Jr., Jessica, Wren, Joshua, Christopher Jr., and Kyle; great-grandpa of Owen, Joshua, Jr., Zoey, and Lincoln.  Dear brother of the late Sandra Ladewig, and late Patricia (Dennis) Friesl.  Preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Mettie Danrich.  Dave enjoyed golfing, fishing, cooking for others, sports, and an occasional scotch libation.

Visitation Sunday, January 7, 2024 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. with a vigil service to be held at 7:00 p.m.  Prayer service Monday, January 8, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Smits Funeral Home 2121 Pleasant Springs Ln. (Rt.30/Pleasant Springs Ln.), Dyer, IN, with Deacon Jim Renwick officiating.  Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery – Elwood, IL.
