David J. Jansma Sr.

David J. Jansma, Sr. age 89,  of Chicago Heights, IL went home to his Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 6, 2021.  Beloved husband of Marian D. Jansma, nee DeGraff.  Loving father of Dawn (Ed) Livingston, Patricia (Gary) VonAlven, Jill (David) Callahan, and David (Denise) Jansma Jr.  Grandfather of Faith (Brian) Pelke, Brandon (Vanesa) Vanderhye, Justin (Crystal) VonAlven, Nick (Nicole) VonAlven, Stephanie (John) Kreykes, Christie (Josh) Eenigenburg, Aaron (Michelle) Jansma, Ryan (Nicole) Jansma, Chad (Kate) Jansma, Matt (Lauren) Jansma, and Carrie (Joel) Dykstra.  Great-grandfather of Christian, Hope, Alexis, Katie, Blake, Jeremy, Courtney, Caleb, Claire, Aleigha, Calvin, Anna, Brody, Finn, Wells, Colbie, Levi, Liam, Luca, Emelia, Sloane, Cruz, and Tripp. Dear brother of  Tilly Walstra and Char Rietveld.  Special thanks to Kate, Lauren, and Michelle for their wonderful care.  Mr. Jansma was a member of First Church (PCA) in Lansing, IL.

Private family funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Smits Funeral Home,  2121 Pleasant Springs Lane, Dyer, IN with Rev.
