David J. White

David J. White, age 54, of Lansing, IL passed away Saturday, February 17, 2018.  Beloved husband of JoAnn White, nee Perry.  Loving father of Brittany White.  Devoted son of James (Frances) White and Carol White.  Dear brother of Stephen (Karen) White, Cathy White-Cheffer, Mark (Liz) Finch and Greg (Olga) Finch.  Wonderful uncle of Michael, Austin, Alison, Kaitlyn, Shelby, Jacob, Ava, Mia, and Samantha.

David was a partner in his family's business, White's Pit Stop.  He loved spending his Sundays at the drag strip where he supported and sponsored many racers over the years.  As a sports enthusiast he grew to love the game of softball when he started coaching his daughter Brittany. Over the years, he mentored countless girls and taught them not only to be better softball players, but also to embrace their passion and give 200% just as David did every single day of his life. David was always the life of the party. Anyone that met him has a fun memory to share. He loved telling stories and adding the "David" factor!  His sense of humor and wit was contagious.

Visitation Sunday, February 25, 2018 from 3:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home, 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane, Dyer, IN. Funeral service Monday, February 26, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Faith Church, 100 W. 81 ^st Ave. Dyer, IN.
