Dennis A. Scherer, age 76, unexpectedly, late of Cocoa Beach, FL, formerly of Dyer, IN. Born June 17, 1941 in Chicago, IL, passed away Monday, January 22, 2018. Beloved husband of Paulette, nee Bauer. Loving father of Dennis Scherer, Liane Bania, and Becky (David) Jurek. Proud grandfather of Charles Bania, Nathan Scherer,  Alex Scherer, Hannah Scherer, Abbey Scherer, Carolyn Bania, Nathan Jurek, and Parker Jurek. Dear brother of Gloria (Rany) Lang; brother-in-law of Chuck (Jan) Bauer, Annette (Gary De St. Jean) Watson, and the late Pat (Paul) Salus. Beloved uncle and friend to many.
