Dirk E. Spiekhout, age 51, passed away on Sunday, August 5, 2007. Dirk is survived by his parents: Donald & Jean Spiekhout of Tinley Park, IL; two sisters: Marianne (Edward) Egelske of Lansing, IL and Laurie (Gordon) Norris of Munster, IN; four brothers: David (June) Spiekhout of Frankfort, IL, Mark (Kathy) Spiekhout of Lansing, IL, Kenneth Gardiner of Thornton and Gerald Gardiner of Appleton, WI; many nephews and nieces. Dirk was preceded in death by his mother Marion Spiekhout. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 9, 2007 from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Funeral service Thursday, at 7:00 PM at the Smits, DeYoung-Vroegh Funeral Home 649 E. 162nd St. (Rt. 6/159th St.) South Holland with services conducted by Rev. Al VanderMeer. Interment Oak Ridge Cemetery " Lansing, IL. Dirk was a member of Tornados of Thornton.
