Dolores Grace Hoogewerf, nee Boone, age 82, of Crown Point, IN went home to her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, October 27, 2026. Beloved wife of Gerald Hoogewerf. Loving mother of Judith (Bill) Huizinga, Valerie Hoogewerf, Bryan (Lori) Hoogewerf, and John (Robin) Hoogewerf. Devoted grandmother of Andrew (Hope) Huizinga, Darlene (Chris) Dekker, Josh (Audrey) Hoogewerf, Zach Hoogewerf, Chase (partner Lily) Good, Tyler (partner Ariel) Good, Kaitlin Good, and Bethany Good, and great-grandmother of Rylan, Emma, Kailyn, Austin, Cameron, and Elijah. Dear sister of Kenneth (Peggy) Boone and the late Steven (Kathie) Boone. Kind aunt to several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents Harry and Grace (Van Drunen) Boone.

Dolores was a special education teachers aid and piano teacher for many years. She was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, November 6, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:30 a.m. at Munster Church, 214 Ridge Rd., Munster, IN with Rev. Jim Hollendoner officiating. Interment Historic Maplewood Cemetery – Crown Point, IN. Memorial contributions may be given to Munster Church Legacy Fund.
