Donald Wayne Ford

Donald Wayne Ford, age 89, of Steger, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 15, 2022. Beloved husband for 63 years of Lucille Ford, nee D’Anna. Loving and kind father of Glen Ford, Bonnie Cavins (Ford) and Brenda Ford (Anthony). Cherished grandfather of Adam Ford, Justin Ford, Nick Cavins (Katie) and Brandon Cavins, and great-grandfather of Olivia Cavins.  Dear cousin of Carl Wolf. Donald was a volunteer fireman and farm hand in Monee in his younger years until he began his work at General Electric/Hobart where he worked for 30 years as a foreman. He then worked for Danley Steel and also a private trucking company. He ended his working career as a self-employed trucker for his own trucking and transport company. Donald will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
